The Sales Representative is responsible for locating new opportunities for Varment Guard's Residential Division, by visiting existing and potentially new customers. This position is involved with executing upon the sales strategy to support the objectives for the organization. The Pest Control Technician is responsible for the execution of service related duties assigned to the Wildlife Technicians. This position seeks to responsible for forecasting the workload, budget requirements and other critical factors associated with efficient and effective operations of the department.Directly involved with recruitment, hiring, managing and training of Wildlife (including Bird & Special) Technicians. Also responsible for seizing opportunities for continued training for all departmental staff. This role will monitor and review performance, address concerns, resolve conflicts as well as recognize and reward excellent performance.
Our customers are residential as well as commercial. Our commercial clients are serviced by a separate division, ProGuard. We currently have three locations: Columbus, Ashland and Springfield. We service the entire state of Ohio and the contiguous states. Our ProGuard team will travel anywhere in the country. The job duties will include posting customers' payments, posting completed invoices, collections (including calls, letters and statements), and filing.
Applicants must have a high school diploma/GED, though a two year degree is preferred. We are looking for career oriented people who have a great attitude. Dependability is important. This role includes: taking inbound phone calls, scheduling appointments, research, handling customer concerns or questions, and supporting our field staff. We do work Monday-Friday and a Saturday rotation.

Our HR and Accounting departments are fast growing and are in need of someone with the ability to take on various tasks. We need someone who is able to multi-task, who is very driven and self-sufficient, and who is very creative and accurate. Some of the duties for this position will include: filing, assisting with the interview/hiring process, helping with ordering and shipment tracking, handling invoices and purchase orders, preparing payments for mailing, etc.
Computer knowledge is a must. Knowing basic Microsoft programs is great, as well as a basic knowledge of math and billing principles. Interpersonal skills are very important as you will be working closely with all internal employees as well as vendors and applicants. You must have a high school diploma or the equivalent. Experience is a plus but not required.
As a Service Specialist, you would learn and become skilled in most areas of the company. You would provide a variety of our services to customers day-to-day. You will have your own route, which may include pest services, e.g.: a termite job and/or trap checks for an ongoing wildlife job. Each day is different. There is a lot of driving required so being able to route yourself efficiently is important.
We require a high school diploma or the equivalent, as well as a valid driver license with minimal or no points. Good work history is required. You must be self-sufficient and display initiative and integrity. Experience is not required, we will train. For the Wildlife Department you must be able to climb ladders carrying materials/cages (with and without animals in them), negotiate roofs ranging from one story homes to large commercial buildings, and carry large fiberglass ladders. Pest and Termite work may require working within small spaces and dealing with a variety of insects. Organizational skills are a must.
Job responsibilities of our Sales Reps include: accepting incoming leads as well as cold calling to create new leads, conducting site evaluations, creating detailed and professional proposals, entering and maintaining customer contact information in a database, conducting regular follow-ups with customers to explore new sales opportunities as well as to ensure satisfaction with current performance, and to provide continuous account and service information not only to your direct manager but to other departments as well. Representatives may also be responsible to start and/or complete service work. Other responsibilities also include representing ProGuard and Varment Guard at trade shows, seminars, as well as by becoming a member in industry associations.
We require a valid driver's license with minimal points. Upon job offer, a drug test, reference check and background check will be conducted. We are looking for someone with some commercial sales experience as well as a college degree. Pest Industry experience not required. We need self-motivated, high producing people that are forward thinking and not afraid to get dirty.
We provide initial and ongoing training through a variety of sources, including our on-staff Entomologist. We license our staff though ODA and ODNR.
This person would be a sales and service specialist, handling wildlife, pest, and termite management. Each day would consist of going on appointments and assessing customers' needs. Then an appropriate service and price would be identified and presented. The wildlife work will include live trapping of nuisance wildlife and repairing access points.
Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED, and have a valid Driver's License with minimal or no points. The ability to carry around heavy ladders and equipment is a must. Applicant must be comfortable with various roof pitches and heights. Dependability, ability to work independently with minimal oversight, and attention to detail is important.
